BPKH Collaborates with DAMRI to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims Transportation in Saudi Arabia

The Hajj Fund Management Agency (BPKH) signed a cooperation agreement with Perum DAMRI to provide transportation for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims in Saudi Arabia through online meetings. It is an international project, for the transportation service for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

On that occasion, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, Deputy Minister II of the Ministry of State Owned Enterprises and Head of the BPKH Executive Board, Anggito Abimanyu, were present. The signing ceremony was carried out by Hurriyah El Islamy, Member of the Executive Board for Investment and Foreign Cooperation, along with Setia N Milatia Moemin, President Director of DAMRI.

With this collaboration, the transportation services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims such as Shuttle buses, Shalawat Buses that deliver pilgrims from the lodge to the Masjidil Haram and inter-city buses is expected to be able to use services from Indonesia, namely DAMRI. So far, the transportation business for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims is dominated by local Saudi Arabia operators.

This collaboration is expected to open up many new business opportunities for Indonesia in the service of hajj and umrah pilgrims, which reach two hundred thousand pilgrims each year. Formed in 1946, DAMRI is a state-owned enterprise that provides passenger and goods transportation services.
