COMMISSION VIII APPROVES BPKH BUDGET FOR 2020

Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives approved the 2020 BPKH’s Annual Work and Budget Plan and the 2019-2023 Strategic Plan (Renstra) of the Hajj Fund Management Agency (BPKH). The session, led by the Vice Chairman of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives Sodik Mudjahid, saw the commission’s full support of the main targets of BPKH in 2020. These included:

1. Managed funds target of Rp132.3 Trillion;

2. Value of benefit of Rp8.05 trillion;

3. Virtual Account Allocation of Rp1.2 Trillion (from the 2020 value of benefit); and

4. Social Responsilbility activities worth Rp185 billion.

Other strategic themes were also discussed at the Hearing Meeting (RDP) held on Monday (23/9/2019), including a follow-up to a long-term study on Hajj finance (sustainability), as well as discussions on the institutional position of BPKH, direct investment within the country and Saudi Arabia through institutional cooperation, the use of digital technology in internal processes and optimization of managed funds, and the management of global, economic and financial risks. In order to support these targets and programs, BPKH’s operational funds have been approved in the total of Rp324.888 billion or about 4,5% from the 2019 value of benefit.
