BPKH Launches Siskehat with Sophisticated Data Center Support

Jakarta, – The Hajj Fund Management Agency (BPKH) launched an Integrated Hajj Fund System (Siskehat) that has the support of a sophisticated data center. Through this system, Hajj Fundactivities that include receipts, expenditures and recording of financial assets, will make use of a TIER III information technology facility provided by BPKH partner Telkomsigma to provide protection for the management of BPKH systems and data. TIER III is an international standard certification with criteria that covering several factors such as design, facilities and operations that guarantee the reliability and safety of the facilities.

“Telkomsigma provides Co-location services for BPKH, meaning that the infrastructure from BPKH data is within the Telkomsigma area and is managed according to good certification standards to maintain consistency, availability and the security of these activities,” said Telkomsigma Director Sihmirmo Adi said.

BPKH data storage is supported by two-power supply systems and layered security access as used in the banking business. Furthermore, BPKH Executive Board Member for Operations A. Iskandar Zulkarnain said that the total of Hajj pilgrims in waiting list is 4.2 million pilgrims, and the waiting period goes up to 20 years. Thus data storage administration with sophisticated and secure information technology is needed.

The launch of this Integrated Hajj fund system (Siskehat) will provide integrated data administration management, such as for the provision of the value of benefit distributed through virtual accounts directly to Hajj pilgrims, and for the receiving of initial deposits, investments, placement of funds and other financial asset records.
